Saddle Adjustments
Not all Saddle brands are built to be adjusted, and some saddles can be adjusted more than other.

All Saddles will also require ongoing maintenance and adjustments as both horse and rider composition can change over time.
Adjustments can include:

-
Saddle Gullet angle and width via cold press adjustments or using an interchangeable gullet system depending on the saddle brand

-
Over time, flocking can compress and move around resulting in uneven panels and pressure points. Additional flocking can be added to improve panel contact and balance, or an entire re-flock depending the saddle condition and age.

-
When a horse has uneven shoulders, an orthopaedic adjustment can help to align the saddle with the horses spine, improving the comfort for the horse and allowing the horse to become pain-free. Only limited saddles (including Schleese branded) can be orthopedically adjusted.

-
Through regular use, the billets (girth point) can become worn, cracked and stretched resulting in an unsafe saddle. Where possible, these can (and should) be replaced as required.

-
Some saddle pads and half have shimmable pockets. If the particular saddle is un-adjustable, this can provide minor adjustment to improve the balance of the saddle.
